Updating Your Payment Method

Keeping a valid card on file ensures your subscription and any usage charges go through without interruption. Follow the steps below to swap out your payment method in under a minute.

Where to Find Your Payment Settings

  1. Log in to your Dental Marketing Tool dashboard.
  2. Click your practice name or avatar in the top-right corner and select Settings from the dropdown.
  3. In the left sidebar, scroll down to the Billing section and click Payment Methods.

Adding a New Card

  1. On the Payment Methods page, click Add Payment Method.
  2. Enter your card number, expiration date, and the CVV code on the back of the card.
  3. Add the billing zip code tied to the card.
  4. Click Save Card. The card will appear in your list of saved payment methods.
Tip If you have more than one card saved, you can set any of them as the default by clicking Make Default next to that card. Your default card is the one charged on your next billing date.

Removing an Old Card

Once your new card is saved and set as the default, you can remove the old one so things stay tidy.

  1. On the Payment Methods page, find the card you want to remove.
  2. Click the Remove or trash icon next to it.
  3. Confirm the removal when prompted.
Heads up You cannot remove a card that is currently set as your default. Set a different card as the default first, then remove the old one.

When Your Card Update Takes Effect

The new default card is used immediately for any charges that occur after you save it. If your previous payment failed and your account is showing a past-due balance, updating your card does not automatically retry the charge. See Fixing a Failed or Past-Due Payment for steps to clear that balance and restore full access.

Accepted Payment Methods

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Discover
Note Prepaid cards and debit cards may work depending on your bank, but credit cards tend to have the fewest issues with recurring billing.
