Editing or Pausing a Campaign

Once a campaign is live, you are not locked in. You can raise or lower your budget, swap the creative, or pause everything with a few clicks right from your dashboard.

Finding Your Active Campaigns

Open the Ads section from the main navigation menu. You will see a list of all campaigns you have created, along with the current status of each one (Active, Paused, or Draft). Click the name of any campaign to open its detail view, where all the editable settings live.

Tip If you manage more than one campaign, use the status filter at the top of the list to show only active campaigns so you can find the right one quickly.

Changing Your Budget

Budget changes take effect quickly and do not reset your campaign's performance history. To adjust what you are spending:

  1. Click into the campaign you want to edit.
  2. Select the Ad Sets tab within that campaign.
  3. Click Edit next to the ad set whose budget you want to change.
  4. Update the Daily Budget field with the new amount.
  5. Click Save to apply the change.

If you want a refresher on how daily budgets are structured and what amounts make sense for dental practices, see Setting Your Ad Budget.

Swapping or Updating Your Creative

You may want to test a new image, update the headline, or change the call-to-action text on a running ad. Here is how to do that without launching a brand new campaign:

  1. Open the campaign and click the Ads tab (not to be confused with the top-level Ads section).
  2. Find the specific ad you want to change and click Edit.
  3. Update the image, headline, body copy, or any other creative field.
  4. Click Save when finished.
Note Saving a change to a live ad will briefly submit it for review on the ad network. Most ads are re-approved within a few minutes, but plan for a short window where delivery may pause.

Pausing a Campaign

Pausing stops your ad from running and stops spending. It does not delete anything. The campaign, its settings, and all of its performance data are saved and ready to restart whenever you choose.

  1. From the Ads section, locate the campaign you want to pause.
  2. Click the toggle next to the campaign name. It will switch from green (Active) to gray (Paused).
  3. To confirm, look for the status badge to update on the campaign row.

To resume a paused campaign, click the same toggle to turn it back on. The platform will resubmit the campaign and delivery should resume within a few minutes.

Pausing a Single Ad Instead of the Whole Campaign

If you want to stop one specific ad without touching the rest of the campaign, you can pause at the ad level rather than the campaign level:

  1. Open the campaign and go to the Ads tab.
  2. Find the individual ad and click its status toggle to pause just that ad.
  3. Other ads in the same campaign will keep running normally.

Editing Your Targeting Area

If your practice has expanded, you moved locations, or you simply want to tighten up who sees your ads, you can update the geographic targeting on a running campaign. Open the Ad Sets tab, click Edit, and update the location radius or zip codes under the Targeting section. See Targeting Your Local Area for a full walkthrough of the location options available.

Heads up Changing targeting on a live ad set resets some of its learning data. For small budget adjustments, it is usually better to change only the budget and leave the targeting alone once things are working.

Checking Results After You Edit

After making any change, give the campaign 24 to 48 hours before drawing conclusions about whether the update helped. Head to Reading Your Ad Results to see how to interpret the numbers and know when a change is working.
