Reputation Overview

Your online reputation directly affects how many new patients walk through your door. Dental Marketing Tool brings your reviews, response tools, and reputation score together in one place so your team can stay on top of what patients are saying without juggling multiple apps or logging into Google separately.

What the Reputation Section Does

The Reputation section of your dashboard is your command center for patient reviews. From here you can:

  • See new reviews from Google and Facebook as they come in
  • Reply to reviews directly without leaving the platform
  • Send review requests to patients after their appointments
  • Track your overall rating and review count over time
  • Embed a live review feed on your practice website

Rather than checking each platform separately, everything flows into one view so nothing slips through.

Connecting Your Review Profiles

Before reviews appear in your dashboard, you need to connect your Google Business Profile and your Facebook Page. This is a one-time setup that takes only a few minutes. Once connected, new reviews sync automatically and you will be notified when a patient leaves feedback.

See Connecting Google and Facebook Reviews for the step-by-step setup process.

Collecting Reviews from Patients

The most consistent way to build your rating is to ask patients right after a visit, when the experience is still fresh. Dental Marketing Tool gives you two ways to do this.

Send requests one at a time

From any patient conversation or contact record, you can send a review request via text or email with a couple of clicks. This works well for your front desk when wrapping up a call or following up on a specific appointment. Learn how in Sending Review Requests.

Automate requests after every visit

The more reliable approach is to set up an automation that sends a review request a short time after each appointment is marked complete. This runs in the background without any manual work from your team. See Automating Review Requests After Visits to get that workflow running.

Tip Practices that automate their review requests typically see a much steadier stream of new reviews compared to asking manually. Consistency matters more than timing.

Responding to Reviews

Responding to reviews, both positive and negative, shows prospective patients that your practice is attentive and professional. Inside Dental Marketing Tool you can reply to any review directly from the Reputation tab. You can write your own response or use the built-in AI to draft a reply based on the review content, which you can then edit before sending.

For a walkthrough of both options, see Responding to Reviews (with AI).

Heads up Responses you send through the platform publish publicly to Google or Facebook. Always read the draft before submitting, especially when using AI-assisted replies.

Monitoring Your Score Over Time

The Reputation tab displays your current average rating and total review count across connected platforms. You can also view trends over time to see whether your score is climbing, holding steady, or dipping after a particular period. This gives you an honest picture of patient sentiment without having to do any manual math.

For a deeper look at the metrics available, visit Monitoring Your Reputation Score.

Displaying Reviews on Your Website

Once you have a solid collection of reviews, you can show them directly on your practice website using a review widget. The widget pulls in your most recent ratings automatically so visitors see real, current feedback without you having to update anything manually. Setup instructions are in Showing Reviews on Your Website.

Getting Started

If you have not connected your review accounts yet, that is the right first step. Head to Connecting Google and Facebook Reviews to link your profiles, then come back to set up your first review request. From there, automating those requests is the single highest-impact thing most practices can do to grow their rating steadily over time.
